The Lake County Veterinary Clinic is an AAHA hospital serving the Twin Ports and Arrowhead region. Founded in 1977, Dr. Mike Overend and Dr. Lucy Grina have owned and operated the clinic for over 20 years.

Lyme Disease Overview Lyme disease is a bacterial disease caused by a microscopic organism, the spirochete, Borrelia burgdorferi, and is spread by ticks. The bacteria normally feed on small mammals, especially mice. Ticks then feed on the mammals and carry the bacteria to their victims.
